Patient Financial Services Assistant Director

The Patient Financial Services Assistant Director is responsible for the oversight and direction of PFS operations related to assigned areas of responsibility. Provides leadership for claims processing, denials management, credit balance and cash processing. The Assistant Director is the key resource for technical and reporting expertise within claim and cash processing. This person writes Boolean logic to configure rules and edits that drive system workflows; and performs custom ad hoc reporting to analyze workflows and initiate operations improvements within assigned areas of Patient Financial Services.

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related field; Master’s degree in health care, business administration, accounting, finance or related field. Course work or skills in CPT, ICD-9 coding, and medical terminology preferred. Must have 7 years of expereince in healthcare or business. Management experience preferred. Experience in physician billing and reimbursement, managed care contracting, knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, use of PC based tools and software and familiarity with information systems and processes desirable. Proficiency in use of PC based tools and software for reporting and analysis and interpretation of business data.
